Project Handoff
What happens after your work is approved and how to move on to your next project.
After your submission is approved and merged to production, the project is officially complete. This page explains what happens during handoff and how to prepare for your next project.
Completing a project is a significant achievement. You've turned someone's idea into a working application. Take a moment to appreciate your work!
When a project is completed, your access is automatically updated:
| Resource | What Happens |
|---|---|
| GitHub Repository | Collaborator access is removed |
| Worker Branch | Remains for historical reference but is no longer active |
| GCP Project | IAM access is revoked |
| Firebase Console | Access is removed with GCP |
| Vercel Project | Preview deployments from your branch are archived |
| Worker Dashboard | Project moves from "My Projects" to completed history |
If you want to keep a copy of the code for your portfolio, clone the repository before handoff. Just remember not to share client-specific details publicly.
After completing a project, you're ready to take on a new one:
- Browse the Marketplace
Head to the Marketplace to see available projects.
- Claim a New Project
Find a project that interests you and claim it to start the cycle again.
- Take a Break (If Needed)
There's no requirement to claim immediately. Take time to rest if you need it.
While you move on, here's what happens on the client side:
- Production is live – The app is deployed to the production URL
- Custom domain (if any) – The client's domain points to their new app
- Ownership transfer – The client has full access to their codebase
- GitHub integration – They can connect their own GitHub account for future updates
Completing projects successfully builds your reputation as a worker. Remember:
- Quality matters – Each completed project reflects your skills and professionalism
- Communication is key – Good communication throughout the project leads to better outcomes
- Learn from each project – Every project teaches you something new
- Community is here to help – Don't hesitate to ask questions in Discord
Head back to the Marketplace to find your next challenge, or review the Getting Started guide if you need a refresher.
